Hassett Express, LLC, was formed in October, 2013, when I took ownership of the company. Hassett Air Express was a leader in air freight services since the 1980’s and my team was excited to build upon that legacy. We had a dedicated team and a great customer base. But we knew we had to expand our services and diversify our industry focus.
Fast-forward seven years… We have rebranded as Hassett Logistics, a certified WBE (Women Business Enterprise), and have quite a story to tell. It’s a story that is built on trust, relationships and an unwavering commitment to provide exceptional service.
We are fortunate to have customers of more than 30 years and have welcomed more than 300 new companies into our customer network. We are heavily involved in eCommerce as well as specialized project work and event logistics. Our customers cover the range of start-ups to established leaders in their market space. We understand the high expectations of our customers – we are an extension of their team and are accountable for delivering on their services expectations. We take that trust very seriously.
We have expanded our leadership in air cargo services and work with all major airlines and have been recognized by Southwest Airlines and Delta Airlines for our partnerships. In addition to our own trucking services, we have built a strong network of regional partners who work with us to provide a unified, high-performance service to our customers. These airline and trucking relationships have stood the test of time and we are grateful for their support.
Our success and growth would not have been possible without our amazing team. Some of our folks have been with Hassett for 25, 30 and 40 years, while others are celebrating their first week or first year anniversary. While our team members have diverse backgrounds and experiences, they share a few key qualities such as strong work ethic, take-charge attitude, and curiosity in learning our customers’ businesses and finding new ways to support them. They also are supportive of each other as well as our local communities. Hassett is a multi-year sponsor of DuPage Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build and our team was on-site a few weeks ago to help build walls for a townhome project. I’m also proud to share that our team was recognized as a 2020 Best Places to Work in Illinois.
